William “Bill” J. Sollner was a 1943 Crawford County Community High School graduate. Following training as a naval aviator and time in the naval reserve, Bill’s life was filled with being a “teacher, journalist, playwright, puppeteer, and gadfly.” Bill returned to Arma in 1991, remaining until he died in 2017.
The William J. Sollner scholarship aims to provide Northeast High School students with talent and initiative but may need more financial resources to pursue a degree.
