About the workshop

This hybrid workshop is designed for grant writers of all skill levels, from beginners to experts. Beginners will learn important steps throughout the grant-writing process, from initial research to collecting data, all the way to filling out a finished-project evaluation. Experienced grant writers will get a refresher on those steps from the perspective of some of Southeast Kansas’ most effective grant writers and encounter ideas they may not have considered.

Some of the topics covered in this workshop will be:

  • Identifying funding opportunities
  • How and what to research
  • Understanding grant guidelines
  • Developing a well-researched objective
  • Crafting strong narratives
  • Developing a budget
  • Reviewing and editing a proposal
  • What to do after being awarded a grant
  • CFSEK-specific information and tips

There will be a panel Q&A post-presentation and in-person networking with other grant writers from our community.
