Basic Human Needs
- BOURBON COUNTY INTER-AGENCY COALITION, INC. WILL SUPPORT RENT AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE SO FAMILIES CAN STAY IN THEIR HOMES AND AFFORDABLE FAMILY SWIM PASSES.
- CATHOLIC CHARITIES, INC. WILL PROVIDE ONE-TIME FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN AT RISK OF EVICTION OR CUT-OFF OF ESSENTIAL HOME UTILITIES THAT WILL PREVENT IMMINENT HOMELESSNESS OF THE FAMILY.
- CLASS LTD PLANS TO ASSIST RESIDENTS OF CK, CR, AND LB COUNTIES WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES WHO HAVE EMERGENCY FOOD, SHELTER OR CLOTHING NEEDS.
- COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER OF SEK WILL PURCHASE HEARING TESTING EQUIPMENT FOR LOW-INCOME & UNINSURED ADULTS.
- FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, WESLEY HOUSE WILL PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION TO THE SOCIAL SECURITY OFFICE IN JOPLIN, MO
- FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, WESLEY HOUSE WILL ASSIST 100 INDIVIDUALS WITH PRESCRIPTION ASSISTANCE.
- LABETTE COUNTY EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE CENTER PROVIDES EMERGENCY BASIC HUMAN SERVICE NEEDS TO LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN FINANCIAL CRISIS.
- LABETTE HEALTH FOUNDATION WILL ASSIST IN PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE EMERGENCY ROOM & RURAL HEALTH CLINIC BEING BUILT IN INDEPENDENCE, KS FOLLOWING THE LOSS OF THEIR HOSPITAL.
- MERCY HEALTH FOUNDATION FORT SCOTT WILL CREATE A HELPING HANDS FUND TO ALLEVIATE FAMILIES IN FINANCIAL STRESS.
- MOUNT CARMEL FOUNDATION WILL PURCHASE A CO2 MONITOR FOR THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT AT VIA CHRISTI HOSPITAL.
- PRESBYTERIAN MANORS, INC.WILL PROVIDE A HEALTH FOR LIFE MEMBERSHIP TO THE FITNESS CENTER FOR 60+ RESIDENTS RESULTING IN BETTER OVERALL HEALTH.
- PSU ENACTUS WILL BE ABLE TO CONTINUE EFFORTS FOR HOMELESS SOLUTIONS IN PITTSBURG, KS.
- THE RESTORATIVE JUSTICE AUTHORITY WILL HELP TO MEET THE BASIC NEEDS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH PLACED IN POLICE PROTECTIVE CUSTODY.
- SAFE HAVEN OUTREACH MISSION WILL STOCK THE OPERATION UNDERGARMENTS PORTION OF THEIR MISSION.
- SAFEHOUSE CRISIS CENTER, INC. PLANS TO INITIATE THE SAFEHOUSE GARDEN PROJECT AT THEIR NEW FACILITY FOR CLIENTS AND TO MAINTAIN AND UTILIZE.
- SHIRLEY YEAGER ANIMAL FRIENDS FOUNDATION COMMUNITY COMPASSION PROJECT WILL BENEFIT FAMILIES AND ANIMALS WITH VACCINES AND STERILIZATION.
- WOMEN HELPING WOMEN: A FAIRY GODMOTHER’S FUND WILL PROVIDE ONE TIME GRANTS TO SINGLE MOTHERS IN A TIME OF NEED WHO ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR SERVICES FROM ANY OTHER AGENCIES FOR SAFE & RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.
Youth Activities
- CHERRY STREET YOUTH CENTER WILL PURCHASE EQUIPMENT FOR THE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM.
- CHILDREN’S ADVOCACY CENTER, INC. IS UPDATING THE INTERVIEW RECORDING SYSTEM FOR FORENSIC INTERVIEWS.
- CITY OF YATES CENTER RECREATION COMMISSION IS ADDING LIGHTS AND POLES TO THE YOUTH BALL FIELD.
- ERIE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, INC. WILL ADD LIGHTS AND LANDSCAPING TO THE ERIE DINOSAUR PARK.
- FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER IS ADDING SAFETY MEASURES, A MAGNETIC LOCK FOR A PLAYGROUND GATE, AND SUPPLIES FOR THE STORM SHELTER PODS.
- FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH WESLEY HOUSE WILL PROVIDE COATS TO COMMUNITY CHILDREN THIS WINTER.
- HORSES OF HOPE RIDING CENTER, INC. WILL BE NOW PURCHASE A SADDLE & PADS TO CONTINUE TO THEIR MISSION OF LIVING THE HOPE THROUGH EQUINE ASSISTED ACTIVITIES.
- INTERLOCAL 637 COMMUNITY BASED INSTRUCTION PROGRAM IN PITTSBURG COMMUNITY SCHOOLS WILL SUPPORT STUDENTS WITH AUTISM THROUGH STRUCTURED LEARNING.
- LEARNING TREE INSTITUTE AT GREENBUSH WILL UPDATE TECHNOLOGY TO ENHANCE STUDENT LEARNING AT THE SCIENCE EDUCATION CENTER.
- MCCUNE OSAGE TOWNSHIP LIBRARY AND MUSEUM PLANS TO ADD THE AFTERSCHOOL EDGE LEARNING PROGRAM TO THEIR LIBRARY RESOURCES.
- MINERS HALL MUSEUM IS EXPANDING THEIR EXHIBITS WITH THE PURCHASE OF NEW FURNITURE AND EQUIPMENT.
- NORTHEAST UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT WILL OFFER FLEXIBLE SEATING OPTIONS K-6.
- PITTSBURG PUBLIC LIBRARY WILL CONTINUE THE YOUNG AUTHOR/ILLUSTRATOR PROGRAM TO LOCAL ELEMENTARY STUDENTS.
- SEDAN PUBLIC LIBRARY NEEDS EQUIPMENT FOR THE CHILDREN’S LITERACY SUMMER AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS.
- SPECIAL OLYMPICS KANSAS (PITTSBURG AFFILIATE) WILL PURCHASE SUPPLIES FOR THE SEK TRACK AND FIELD MEET.
- SPRING RIVER MENTAL HEALTH & WELLNESS, INC. WILL PURCHASE UPDATED CURRICULUM FOR THE CHILDREN’S PSYCHOSOCIAL REHABILITATION GROUPS.
- TFI FAMILY SERVICES, INC. WILL PILOT A SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR FAMILIES AND FOSTER CHILDREN IN SEK CALLED TFICARE.
- USD 250 LAKESIDE ELEMENTARY WILL PURCHASE MATERIALS FOR THE 4TH GRADE PROJECT BASED LEARNING ACTIVITIES.
- USD 250 PHS WILL COMMISSION ORIGINAL MUSIC AND POETRY FOR THE ANNUAL VESPERS PROGRAM.*
- WESLEY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH WILL PURCHASE NEEDED MATERIALS FOR A COMMUNITY BASED INTERGENERATIONAL PROJECT.
- WOMEN’S RESOURCE CENTER OF SEK WILL PURCHASE THE ‘YOUR FUTURE ON THE LINE’ TO BE OFFERED TO THE HARBOR AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM.
- FORT SCOTT AREA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION – THIS FOUNDATION IS AN AFFILIATE OF THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF SOUTHEAST KANSAS. THEY RECEIVED A GRANT TO SUPPLEMENT THEIR GRANTING PROGRAM PROVIDING MORE FOR YOUTH ORIENTED PROGRAMS FOR THE AREA THEY SERVE.
- GIRARD AREA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION – THIS FOUNDATION IS AN AFFILIATE OF THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF SOUTHEAST KANSAS. THEY RECEIVED A GRANT TO SUPPLEMENT THEIR GRANTING PROGRAM PROVIDING MORE OF YOUTH ORIENTED PROGRAMS FOR THE AREA THEY SERVE.
