Our 2023 Annual Report is Now Available!

Dear Friends,

In 2023, the Community Foundation of Southeast Kansas (CFSEK) welcomed many changes. Transitioning away from the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, we brought numerous services in-house, resulting in enhanced benefits for our fundholders, donors, and grantees.

We were delighted to welcome the Columbus Area Community Foundation (CACF) as a new affiliate in 2023, expanding our services in Cherokee County and providing administrative support to CACF. This strategic partnership has provided many benefits for CACF and their fundholders.

Our adoption of Community Suite software marked a milestone, with the introduction of our Grants and Scholarship Lifecycle Management portals. These portals streamline processes for applicants, reviewers, and staff. Additionally, the launch of our Fund Advisor Portal empowers fundholders with instant access to fund information and reporting.

Thanks to the generous support of the Patterson Family Foundation, we were able to expand our renowned Match Day event to include all three of our affiliate community foundations. Columbus, Fort Scott, and Girard all had successful inaugural Match Day events. We are proud to have collectively raised $643,000 to benefit Southeast Kansas!

We welcomed Matthew Buck as our first Marketing and Communications Coordinator. This addition has strengthened our communication with fundholders, grantees, and partners, allowing us to better showcase the impactful work of CFSEK and our regional partners.

As we continue to grow our services, grant programs, and initiatives in Southeast Kansas, we extend our gratitude for your steadfast support over the past 22 years. We take pride in the over $23 million granted to Southeast Kansas since our inception and remain committed to our mission. Let’s continue this journey together!
